What? That means the Apps & Software I am using on day-to-day to basis even for various financial transactions, are not 100 percent secure?
What the hell are you talking about? Currently I am using 3 different Mobile Payment Apps for various transaction related purposes, now suddenly you are saying these are not fully/ 100 percent secure.
I can understand the reason of your worry. But at first you just calm down, don’t get too hyper! Here I am not pointing out any specific App/ platform/ anything.
Here I am just trying to give you a real dose/ lesson on Cyber security. So, from that aspect I am saying, giving 100 percent security on Cyber Space is one kind of impossible by anybody.
It’s simply a myth, no one can guarantee that a system is 100% secure from all aspect. Because there is not endpoint of security & vulnerability.
May be today at this moment there is no such (from your knowledge/ point of view) but how can you guarantee that tomorrow a new threat will not arise.
It’s not about you, no one can guarantee that. Because it has no end, it’s a continuous process which is evolving everyday/ every moment.
Always Remember you are not running any race, where touching the finishing line is the end.
In Cyber World, security is a continuous process which gradually evolves & strengthen through constant findings, improvements & updates.
So in this way you can try to make your system as much secure as possible for a time being but it never guarantees that it will be bullet proof for life time.
May be today you are assuring it from a specific aspect but tomorrow when a new update will come it may open a new type of vulnerability.
So your present weapon of defence will not work in future. It’s one aspect & the other aspect is, you are a human being, so you will never know 100% of all vulnerabilities exists in the world.
It’s not possible by anyone maybe he/ she is a top Security Consultant & Cyber Expert. Because everyone develops something following some specific security measures, guidelines & best practices.
But that’s not everything! Hundreds & Thousands of exploits are taking birth everyday in the world of Cyber Security.
So keeping a system secure means constantly keeping track of all relevant security loopholes & finding measures for those. So it’s a constant process which I had already mentioned.
Now if someone tells that, his system is 100% secure, then I don’t know how far it’s acceptable. Because you can just strictly follow some guidelines to build a system.
Which states that as you have followed all the security guidelines, so the system is very secure but not 100%.
That’s the reason I believe that 100 percent security is a Myth.
