Growth Hacking is what a Growth Hacker do 🙂 ! Ok ok no more fun, I am clarifying it.
Growth Hacking is a term we frequently hear about and obviously those who are expert at it are known as Growth Hackers.
So in this post, I will briefly describe both the terms & will discuss the traits of a successful growth hacker in detail. If you want to become one then what qualities you need!
So let’s start one by one. What Growth Hacking is & who are Growth Hackers?
From the vertical of Business & Technology to our Lifestyle, Growth Hacking has become a trending term everywhere which is closely associated with our different aspects of life.
In its simplest form it means, doing a specific task or achieving a certain goal in a smarter way by not following traditional methods.
But it’s not any shortcut, what many newcomers may think. Growth Hacking is an unconventional & smarter approach to accomplish a specific goal.
The basic difference between a normal person & a Growth Hacker lies in between their approach & way of execution.
Normal people follow rule book but a Growth Hacker never does it. They think, innovate & create their own way of achieving the target.
So a person who knows how to solve a specific problem in a smarter way is a Growth Hacker, irrespective of the problem.
It may be related to Technology or your Lifestyle or anything else, the term Growth Hacking is applicable in everywhere.
Now the main question is, what traits you should have to become a Growth Hacker?
So let’s find out some striking traits of a Growth Hacker!
# A different Mindset
Yes that’s the foremost requirement.
Because if you are a stereotypical person who never moves a step out of the boundary or always follow an invisible rule book for every aspect of life then it will be really tough for you.
A Growth Hacker never takes the traditional routes to accomplish a task. Otherwise, what will be the difference between him & others?
So the mindset needs to be a bit “Haatke” means different/ off track.
# A bit Crazy
Don’t go by its literal meaning. Here crazy means a person who has the urge or fire to do everything in an unconventional way.
Here I am giving you a little example from the marketing perspective.
You have a situation like within a very short span of time, let’s say within 2 months you have to bring at least 500 likes on your company’s Facebook page.
Normal people s will say how can this be even possible within the given timeframe, it’s kind of impossible but a Growth hacker will never think that way.
His job is to find out a solution which no one has thought off.
Most of the people always see the glass is half empty but a growth hacker would see it as the glass is half full. So, they try to find out the positives even there is not much.
# Never settle down attitude
Growth Hacking is all about providing an optimum solution for a certain problem.
So a real Growth Hacker never ever settle down until he/ she finds out a solution.
Because optimisation is a never-ending process. You have found a way that doesn’t mean that’s the best way out there.
So this kind of attitude (always hungry to do better) is highly important.
# Break it to make it attitude
Break it! You must be thinking, what the hell am I talking about?
Here breaking a certain thing means knowing about it from inside out.
Because if you don’t know about the problem from its core then how will you be able to find a solution which is really out of the box.
Let’s say you have to increase the Facebook engagement of your brand.
Now if you don’t know about every nitty-gritty detail of different influencing factors of Facebook Engagement, then how will you suggest a way.
So here break it means analysing problem from its root. That’s what the real hackers do.
# You need to be futuristic
Understanding what people want is not enough. You have to visualise what people will want in future.
The way everything is getting smarter day by day, a solution will get older very soon. A real growth hacker always keeps this thing in mind.
Giving solution is not enough, the solution needs to be effective, smart enough & futuristic.
So what do you thing? Do you have these qualities? if yes then congrats you are already a Growth Hacker.
