That’s exactly what I had thought when I got to know about playing Pac-Man on MacBook Pro Touch Bar for the first time!
Pac-Bar that’s what it named as. Developed by Henry Franks, a 15-year-old teenager, just out of curiosity & fun. And for fun what he has created is buzzing around all popular media outlets & Social Media across the world.
80’s hit Arcade game from Namco has got its new identity in the form of Pac-Bar and all the credit goes to Henry. He just took a few hours to develop this game on his MacBook Air using the TouchBar Simulator of Xcode.
From the day of its inception, MacBook Pro Touch Bar has created a lot of buzz. Even all the big Software Companies are also enhancing their Apps which will work with Touch Bar.
Because this new element from Macbook Pro has opened a new window for the developers to think & explore how they can come up with innovative solutions which are Touch Bar ready.
Many Application Developers from all across the world are already coming up with some really cool solutions/ apps/ games/ utility tools.
Hit Arcade game Pac-Man’s Touch Bar version Pac-Bar is another amazing addition in this list.
Henry has written this game on Swift Programming Language and to keep the signature ambience of this well-known game he has used its original Graphics & Sound.
So Pac-Bar will also give that vintage feel. But looks wise it’s a bit different due to the physical design constraint.
That’s why the game is limited horizontal line and you have to use the arrow keys as the control, not the actual Touch bar.
So it may feel a bit different to you but that’s what it is, as it’s specifically for Touch Bar ecosystem.
It seems great that this newly launched feature of Apple for MacBook Pro is gradually gaining traction & a strong culture is getting created around it.
